This area cluster brings together everyone who is interested in robotics. The cluster wants to create some team spirit among all WASP roboticists and offer a springboard for networking. As Covid allows, we plan to visit companies and want to meet up during robotics conferences for beer and fun. We have monthly intellectual recreational meetings and discuss topics that are of general interest.

Cluster Activities

  2. Feb 15, 15:30-16:30 via Zoom. Talk by Achim Lilienthal: Logistics Robots: From continuous deployment of autonomous forklifts in shared environments to robots that throw goods over the last meter.
  3. Mar 15, 15:30-16:30 via Zoom. Talk by Jonas Larsson, ABB: The Robotics WARA: A Research Arena for Verifikation and Validation in Robotics
  4. April 26, 15:30-16:30 via Zoom. Talk by Volker Krueger, LTH: STAMINA: Sustainable and Reliable Robotics for Part Handling in Manufacturing Automation and ScalABLE 4.0: Scalable automation for flexible production systems.
  5. May 17, 15:30-16:30 via Zoom. Talk by Ron Petrick, Heriot-Watt University, on Task-level Planning with Robots. Ron will use a number of EU projects as an example. Task planning is concerned with enabling the robot to autonomously decide on-the-fly what to do exactly in order to achieve a given goal.
