This is a WASP Core Technology Cluster for researchers and students interested in Neurosymbolic AI.
Neurosymbolic AI
Neurosymbolic AI (NeSy) is a field within artificial intelligence that aims to combine symbolic reasoning with the expressive power of neural networks. The goal is to develop systems capable of formal reasoning while also improving interpretability and explainability.
Topics
Topics within neurosymbolic AI that we may discuss include, but are not limited to:
- Neurosymbolic AI methods and frameworks, including Probabilistic Logic Programming, Logic Tensor Networks, Neural Answer Set Programming, and others
- Knowledge graphs
- Knowledge compilation
- Physics-informed approaches
- Ethical, legal, and societal aspects of neurosymbolic AI
- Applications and potential use cases of neurosymbolic AI
Purpose of the cluster
This cluster aims to strengthen and connect the Neurosymbolic AI community within WASP by creating more opportunities for networking, identifying potential collaborators, exchanging ideas, and engaging with invited speakers.
Meetings
Meetings will primarily be held online, but we also aim to arrange one in-person meeting each year, likely in connection with the WASP Winter Conference. Meeting times will be announced by email as well as through our Slack channel. If you are not a member but would like to be informed about upcoming meetings, please contact the cluster leader by email.
