In the CTC for 3D computer vision we are interested in inferring three-dimensional structure from plain images.
Topics
Topics we cover in the cluster include
- Structure from motion (SfM)
- Neural rendering
- Scene and shape representation
- Image matching
- Object tracking
Cluster Activities
- Monthly meetings
Within the cluster, we will hold monthly Zoom meetings. During these sessions, we will discuss recent research efforts of the members and have an extended discussions about recent publications. Generally, we are also open for inviting guest speakers and including hands-on programming tutorials in our meetings. - Annual in-person event
We try to have one occasion a year for the cluster members to meet in person. This can either be a full-day meeting at one of the member universities or a study trip. Generally, the idea is to give members the opportunity to exchange ideas and to bond with each other. - Conference organization
Since many cluster members are interested in the same conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, 3DV, …), the cluster will give them a forum to coordinate their trips. This can for example consist of, meeting up for the visit of conference tracks, synchronizing their travels, or scheduling evening activities. After the conference members are encouraged to share their impressions and potentially interesting presentations with the cluster.
