The first WARA 2.0 Media & Language workshop will take place in Åre, in darkest & dampest November. The purpose of the workshop is to gather the arena stakeholders to take inventory of what we have accomplished during the first year of the arena’s existence, and set our aims for the coming five years. During the 3-day program, there will be plenty of opportunity for team building in the slush and making new acquaintances. The outcomes will be summarised in a white paper and distributed among the WASP community to solicit feedback for continued work.

Accommodation
The workshop takes place at Hotel Granen in central Åre. We have reserved rooms for conference participants at the hotel, but everyone must book for themselves: Please say that you are part of the WASP community when making your booking. For academic partners, the invoice for the stay will be sent to WARA M&L. Non-academic partners must pay for their accommodation themselves, but as November is off-season, accommodation should be affordable and easily available. We recommend the following options:

Travelling
We encourage travelling by train, and therefore we summarise the for the workshop relevant train connections between Åre and a few cities below. (For further information and booking, visit https://www.sj.se/.) Another possibility is to rent a car or bus; and there is also the option of flying to and from Åre airport. For visitors that choose to travel in during the weekend to spend an extra day or two at the location before the event, we can arrange networking activities on Monday morning to make the most of the visit.
